| George, George, George... Regardless of what gets the RPMs to move faster (boost or gears), this is something we all want. At a given RPM you are moving at a certain speed so if the gears get the RPM to move quicker then you get up to that speed faster. In no way, shape or form is the car any slower than before even if you aren't in this "boost sweet spot". How is this a disadvantage? It's like you make this stuff up as you go along. Show me ONE person that agrees with you and can back it up with any sort of scientific explanation. The only "drawback" I can see is having to shift sooner which the last time I checked is normal when your car gets much QUICKER. :You will hit high RPMs faster with this setup, so you won't have a choice but to shift sooner and more often, thus not allowing you to take full advantage of boost. RPMs will "whip" upwards, so the sweet-spot where boost is developped to its fullest will be much shorter. That's the disadvantage IMO. :George
